The TACTT committee is committed to ensuring that volunteers have a positive volunteering experience.  The work done by volunteers will be integral to the management of the event, and we also aim for it to bring intangible and tangible benefits to those who offer to help make it a success.

Volunteers will have arranged and informal opportunities to engage with invited guests, enhancing their Triennale experience. Volunteering is open to everyone, including those from other regions and people who are not delegates, bringing opportunity for new friendships and discovery of shared interests.  Family members or friends travelling to Hobart with delegates might like to volunteer to share in the Triennale experience.

With Triennale registration covering associated events as well as the presentations and demonstrations, even when you work a ‘full day’ you will have plenty of time to attend other events and exhibitions.  And that’s not to mention the Access All Areas pass that will get volunteers into special areas and events…..

  • The Volunteer and Invited Guest lounge, where you’ll get to rub shoulders with your clay idols and have access to free drinks and snacks and private toilets on the days you volunteer.
  • The Volunteer and Invited Guest thank you event.

Volunteers will be offered discounted registration at the following rates for work completed between 29 April and 6 May 2019:

  • A half-day free registration in return for each six hours volunteered.
  • Full free registration in return for 4 or more full days volunteered.

Discounted registration for work outside these dates can be negotiated with the Volunteer Coordinator.

Volunteer shifts will be scheduled according to operational requirements.  Split shifts may be required.

If expressions of interest exceed our needs those who apply early will be given preference.  Expressions of interest in this first call-out close on 30 November 2018.
